La radion\u00e9crose \u2014 destruction irr\u00e9versible des tissus expos\u00e9s aux rayonnements \u2014 constitue l&rsquo;un des effets secondaires les plus s\u00e9v\u00e8res et les plus difficiles \u00e0 traiter. L&rsquo;oxyg\u00e9noth\u00e9rapie hyperbare (OHB) est aujourd&rsquo;hui reconnue comme un traitement compl\u00e9mentaire efficace pour pr\u00e9venir et traiter ces l\u00e9sions radioniques.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lorsqu&rsquo;un tissu est irradi\u00e9, les vaisseaux sanguins qui l&rsquo;irriguent sont endommag\u00e9s, entra\u00eeant une hypoxie chronique (manque d&rsquo;oxyg\u00e8ne) qui emp\u00eache toute cicatrisation normale. L&rsquo;OHB permet de saturer ces tissus en oxyg\u00e8ne, favorisant la n\u00e9ovascularisation (formation de nouveaux vaisseaux sanguins), la prolif\u00e9ration des fibroblastes et la synth\u00e8se du collag\u00e8ne. Ce processus permet aux tissus l\u00e9s\u00e9s de retrouver progressivement leur capacit\u00e9 \u00e0 se r\u00e9g\u00e9n\u00e9rer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Les indications les mieux \u00e9tablies concernent la radion\u00e9crose osseuse (osteoradion\u00e9crose de la m\u00e2choire apr\u00e8s radioth\u00e9rapie ORL), les cystites radiques (inflammation de la vessie), les proctites radiques (inflammation du rectum) et les plaies chroniques post-radiques. Des essais cliniques ont d\u00e9montr\u00e9 que l&rsquo;OHB r\u00e9duisait significativement les douleurs, am\u00e9liorait la qualit\u00e9 de vie et favorisait la gu\u00e9rison des tissus dans ces indications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>L&rsquo;OHB est \u00e9galement \u00e9tudi\u00e9e comme adjuvant avant la chirurgie de reconstruction chez les patients ayant re\u00e7u de la radioth\u00e9rapie, afin d&rsquo;am\u00e9liorer la vascularisation des tissus et r\u00e9duire le risque de complications post-op\u00e9ratoires. Certaines \u00e9tudes explorent \u00e9galement son r\u00f4le potentiel dans la r\u00e9duction de la fatigue li\u00e9e au traitement oncologique.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le centre Oxygenome, situ\u00e9 \u00e0 Issy-les-Moulineaux (les s\u00e9ances se d\u00e9roulent exclusivement dans ce centre ; le bureau administratif du 16\u00e8me arrondissement de Paris ne re\u00e7oit pas de patients), accompagne les patients en cours ou en sortie de traitement oncologique avec des protocoles d&rsquo;OHB adapt\u00e9s, en lien \u00e9troit avec les oncologues et radioth\u00e9rapeutes.
