Face \u00e0 la diversit\u00e9 des manifestations et \u00e0 la recherche de compl\u00e9ments aux approches th\u00e9rapeutiques conventionnelles, l&rsquo;oxyg\u00e9noth\u00e9rapie hyperbare (OHB) suscite un int\u00e9r\u00eat croissant de la part des familles et de certains praticiens.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Les \u00e9tudes sur l&rsquo;OHB et l&rsquo;autisme partent de l&rsquo;observation que certains enfants autistes pr\u00e9sentent des signes d&rsquo;hypoperfusion c\u00e9r\u00e9brale (r\u00e9duction du flux sanguin dans certaines r\u00e9gions du cerveau) et d&rsquo;inflammation neurologique. L&rsquo;OHB, en augmentant massivement la concentration d&rsquo;oxyg\u00e8ne dans les tissus, pourrait am\u00e9liorer la perfusion c\u00e9r\u00e9brale et r\u00e9duire l&rsquo;inflammation, deux m\u00e9canismes potentiellement b\u00e9n\u00e9fiques dans le TSA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Plusieurs essais cliniques pilot\u00e9s, dont un essai randomis\u00e9 contr\u00f4l\u00e9 publi\u00e9 dans BMC Pediatrics, ont rapport\u00e9 des am\u00e9liorations chez des enfants avec TSA ayant suivi des sessions d&rsquo;OHB : meilleure interaction sociale, r\u00e9duction de l&rsquo;irritabilit\u00e9, am\u00e9lioration de l&rsquo;attention et du langage chez certains patients. Ces r\u00e9sultats sont encourageants mais restent pr\u00e9liminaires : la communaut\u00e9 scientifique souligne la n\u00e9cessit\u00e9 d&rsquo;\u00e9tudes \u00e0 plus grande \u00e9chelle pour confirmer l&rsquo;efficacit\u00e9 et \u00e9tablir des protocoles standardis\u00e9s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>L&rsquo;OHB n&rsquo;est pas reconnue comme traitement de l&rsquo;autisme par les autorit\u00e9s de sant\u00e9 fran\u00e7aises ou am\u00e9ricaines \u00e0 ce jour. Cependant, elle est explor\u00e9e comme approche compl\u00e9mentaire et fait l&rsquo;objet d&rsquo;une demande croissante de la part des familles. La tol\u00e9rance est g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement bonne chez les enfants, sous r\u00e9serve d&rsquo;une \u00e9valuation m\u00e9dicale pr\u00e9alable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le centre Oxygenome, situ\u00e9 \u00e0 Issy-les-Moulineaux \u2014 seul lieu o\u00f9 se d\u00e9roulent les s\u00e9ances (le bureau administratif du 16\u00e8me arrondissement de Paris ne re\u00e7oit pas de patients) \u2014 accompagne les familles qui souhaitent explorer l&rsquo;OHB comme compl\u00e9ment th\u00e9rapeutique.
